Dr. Richard E. Tompkins

Richard is the founder and president of Explore Truth Ministries. ETM provides consulting services, workshops, and seminars for churches and para-church organizations in leadership, apologetics, disciple building, and evangelism. He also serves as an adjunct professor of apologetics at Bethany Divinity School and Seminary and Columbia Evangelical Seminary and is a member of the International Society of Christian Apologetics. He is a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and Southern Evangelical Seminary. Dr. Tompkins is also an ordained Baptist minister and the founding pastor of Community Life Church of the Carolinas. Before his call to ministry, Dr. Tompkins completed a 27 year career as an executive with one of America’s largest multinational corporations. His passion is teaching and he is a frequent speaker at churches, civic organizations, and universities. He lives in Ft. Mill, SC with his wife Suzi. They have seven children and ten grandchildren with whom they enjoy spending as much time as possible.
