Many people are aware of the annual Faith & Reason Conference held in Gauteng. This year AntWoord and the Southern Evangelical Seminary are expanding horizons and also organising the Faith & Reason Cape Conference.

 

In May (6-19) of this year we have the privilege of hosting Professor William Lane Craig. We are greatly honoured to have such a distinguished scholar in philosophy and theology come and share some of his vast knowledge and experience on a number of important subjects in today’s increasingly sceptical and relativistic society.

 

Prof. Craig will engage academia and students on several university campuses where he will also take part in debates. Prof. Craig is regarded by many as the foremost Christian debater in the US and has engaged many prominent academic atheists and liberal theologians in public dialogue. There is interest in taking part in debates with Prof. Craig, notably from Prof. Sakkie Spangenberg (http://www.nuwe-hervorming.org.za/wiki/izak-jj-spangenberg) of UNISA and attorney,Yusuf Ismail in association with the Islamic Propagation Centre International (www.ahmed-deedat.co.za).

 

During his visit to South Africa, Prof. Craig will also address attendees of the Faith & Reason Conference at church venues in the Western Cape and Gauteng respectively.
